Skinny Dippin'
Back when Doug was just a
kid,
Let me tell you some of the things
we did;
When the day was so
Mississippi
hot
the boys went to the creek
to that certain
spot,
stripped down to our birthday
suits and went skinny
dippin'
and if we got too cold
we put out a
scout
just to make sure no girls were
out,
then we clammered on the
bank with all the water
drippin',
Warmed up a bit then
plunged back
in
to do it all over
again.
Now the girls didn't like it
that we claimed
that water
hole,
so this is what I've been
told.
The girls knew of a pond on
my GranPa's farm,
hung their clothes on the
blueberry bushes,
jumped in the pond with
nothing on their
toushes,
as GranPa came to pick
the berries
with a bucket in his
hand,
but when he saw the girlie
clothes
he though he'd have some
fun...
and when he appeared the
girls ran for the deep
water
and GranPa said a bit
later
"I just came to feed the
Alligator".
Now if you were in the
raw
when you heard
GranPa,
Wouldn't you rush to the
shallow
part,
but not with your hand
over your
heart!
So GranPa did what was
right,
and slowly moved out of
sight.
And when GranMa heard
what GranPa did,
he slept on the sofa all
night...
and that's partly true of skinny
dippie
in the hot August of
Mississippi!
Must I sign my name or
shall I remain
incognito.
How about just my initials,
in small letters;
