These are pictures of maintenance being performed on the B29s in the Mariana Islands of Saipan, Tinian and Guam. Maintenance was a 24/7 operation. If nothing seemed broke on a B-29 something certainly would be soon. Preventive maintenance was upper most on the crew chief mind..at all times. Thanks to Bill Copeland for the pictures and comments.
